Sonja
Forever a student, Sonja's global studies shape her vast understanding of yoga. Since becoming a full-time teacher and retreat host in San Francisco in 2018, she's shared her practice throughout Asia, Europe, the Americas, and Costa Rica. Sonja's classes emphasize body awareness, breathwork, and stillness, extending those benefits beyond the mat. Each class is uniquely tailored for a holistic experience. Sonja is trained in Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Restorative, and Bhakti Yoga, and is also a Reiki II practitioner, Energy Healer, and leader of Cacao Ceremonies, Moon Rituals, Mentorship programs, and international Retreats.
Crystal
Crystal Dougherty Anderson is the Breathwork Facilitator at the Nomadic. She is proud to help others connect to the profound healing power of the breath. She is a Reiki Master and always infuses Reiki into her classes. Crystal also owns Crystal Bodywork where she practices therapeutic and deep tissue massage, Crainosacral Therapy, Chakra Therapy, Reiki and private Breathwork classes. Her work is heart centered, knowledge based with 20 years experience. She has been a resident of Nosara for 17 years with her husband and 3 kids. She is a nature enthusiast, star gazer and dream weaver!
lauren
A dedicated and passionate yoga practitioner since 2009, yoga has been a saving grace in Lauren’s life time and time again — physically, mentally, and spiritually. From her home base in Nosara, Costa Rica, Lauren runs yoga retreats and teacher trainings while also teaching classes full time. Her mission is to inspire others to live openly, vulnerably, and honestly by showing that it’s never too late to begin again.
